Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

To function, Saavan may collect and store:

• Identifiers: Discord User IDs, Server (Guild) IDs, Channel IDs, and Role IDs — used to route commands and store per-server/per-user settings
• Command Usage Data: which commands are run, when, and in which server, for functionality and abuse-prevention purposes
• Bot Configuration Data: server-specific settings you configure (e.g., default volume, prefix, playlists you save)
• Voice State Data: which voice channel the Bot is connected to and playback status, needed to stream audio

Saavan does not read, log, or store the content of your Discord messages, and does not access private messages (DMs) beyond what is required to respond to a DM-based command, if applicable.

2. How We Use Information

Collected data is used only to:

• Operate core Bot functionality (music playback, queues, settings, playlists)
• Diagnose and fix bugs, and prevent abuse or spam of the Bot
• Maintain per-server configuration between sessions

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide music playback, Saavan sends search/playback requests to third-party platforms. These requests may include the search query or track identifier, but not your Discord identity. Use of these platforms is also subject to their own privacy policies and terms.

Saavan also operates on top of the Discord API and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored on secured servers/databases accessible only to the Bot's developer(s). We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data from unauthorized access, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

• Configuration and settings data is retained for as long as the Bot remains in your Server, or until you request deletion
• If the Bot is removed from a Server, associated server-level settings may be automatically deleted after a reasonable period
• Command usage logs are retained only as long as needed for debugging/abuse prevention, then purged periodically

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your stored data (e.g., saved playlists or settings) at any time by contacting us through the channels below. Server administrators may request full deletion of their Server's stored data by removing the Bot and contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

Saavan is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by Discord in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from users who do not meet Discord's minimum age requirement.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
